Skye Wheeler researches the intersection of the right to a healthy environment and sexual and reproductive rights, especially in the context of the climate crisis. She is a senior researcher at the women’s rights division of Human Rights Watch, an international human rights research and advocacy group. Her background is in conflict related human rights violations and she used to be a journalist. She is mother to Cy, 2, and Eve, 5 and lives in Washington D.C., USA.

Aver Yakubu is the Program Director at Nurturely, overseeing day-to-day operations of programs and assisting with research. Aver has ten years of public health-related experience in multiple settings from community organizations, healthcare organizations, and academia. Her specialty areas include organizational management, strategic planning, as well as maternal and perinatal health. Additionally, Aver is completing a PhD in Public Health Studies (concentration: health management and policy) in May 2024, studying the effectiveness of cross-sector collaborations aiming to improve perinatal outcomes.
